Heavy Hearted

Hi friends,

I haven’t done much blogging because I’m feeling pretty heavy hearted today. For those of you who haven’t seen my prior post, there is a killer on the loose here in Canada. He’s 24 years old and has shot five police officers, three of which have died. They’ve been looking for him for about 27 hours now and still haven’t caught him. This is quite a tragedy for our country and is being broadcast all over the world. It was at the top of the trending list on Twitter, breaking news is on Yahoos front page, and it’s also one of the top trends on Facebook. It’s also a stressful situation because he hasn’t been caught yet and no one knows exactly where he is. Please, I urge you all to pray that God will protect all the law enforcement people as they search for him and that he will be found soon. He’s a pretty bold guy — he walked right down the sidewalk in broad day light with two rifles and a crossbow strapped on him. It’s definitely a scary situation.

    1. Thanks Diana! I wasn’t anywhere near where it happened, but it has deeply affected our country. They caught him early this morning, thank God! He actually surrendered..which was surprising since he had already shot five police officers. But I’d been praying he’d peacefully surrender – so our prayers have been answered! 🙂

    1. Thanks — they caught him last night just after midnight – he surrendered peacefully! An answer to prayers!

  1. Hi, sorry I’ve heard it late. But it’s great that he surrendered. Take care always sweetie :-*

  2. Thankfully, three short hours after you posted this blog he “surrendered”, I would love to say that our fear ended at the same time but the fear will be ongoing because of one persons decisions.
I am originally from Moncton but have relocated to Ottawa two years ago and this all happened in the neighbourhood my parents live in and I grew up in, so it really hit close to home.

I hope you are feeling better, and we Monctonians (close and far) can begin to mourn and grieve the loss of our fallen officers.
