Empties – That Gal Primer

Hello lovelies!

It’s pretty rare that I have any empties because I either don’t use a product enough to empty it or I just don’t like it. So the fact that I’ve emptied this product must say something about the quality of it!

I bought this primer July 2014. I don’t wear makeup every day, maybe just a few times a week. But this lasted me for about thirteen months. Not bad.

Here’s what Sephora says about it:

What it is:
A silky pink primer that makes skin appear smoother and brighter.

What it does:
Prime your skin to pretty—go from dull to darling with “That Gal”! Wear alone for clear complexion radiance or apply before makeup for a smooth, effortless application. Plus you can use it to re-brighten throughout the day.

Here’s my thoughts on it:

Look of it: it actually has a gorgeous pinky, shimmery gleam to it. It says it’s a brightening primer and it is indeed. This works well as a primer, but it’s also nice to wear alone too. Gorgeous- makes your face look bright and radiant!

Smell: Seriously, this is one of the best smelling makeup products I’ve ever used. It has like a ….raspberry(?) smell to it. Or some kind of berry. It’s SO SO SO good smelling.

When used with foundation: As far as I can remember, when I wore this with foundation, it made my skin still look brighter. I wouldn’t necessarily say that it made my foundation last any longer though.

Any negatives?: the only negative about this is there is no way of seeing how much product is left. So when you run out, it’ll be a surprise.

Would I repurchase?: I would. Maybe not right away because I’m using another primer at the moment that I like, but I really did like this product. It is on the pricey side though…I believe it was about $35, which is a lot for such a small amount of product.

I’ve tried Girl Meets Pearl and The Porefessional by Benefit, but I like this primer the most out of the three of them.

Have you tried That Gal? What did you think?

  1. I have a sample of this primer and haven’t had a chance to use it because I’m currently using up my POREFessional primer by Benefit. I’m glad to know you liked it, gives me more confidence to try it out ☺
